What is Cab Buddy?

Cab buddy is a simple and effective solution that keeps check of a cab ride and makes sure you feel safe during the entire ride. With Cab Buddy you can keep track of your cab details and check if your driver is drunk or not, so if you don't feel safe you can share your location with a loved one.

Inspiration

Every year, 2600 people lose their lives to cab related crimes. Kidnappings, murder, assault, you name it. We believe that the safety systems in place now are not enough to ensure a passenger's safety, especially due to drunk driving. This led us to think of a solution, Cab Buddy.

How we built it?

We used a MQ-3 gas sensor to detect alcohol, a neo-6m gps module to fetch the location of the cab and a nodemcu to tie it all together.
